Pinot Noir from Kalkstein

The literal foundation stone for this wine was laid millions of years ago: Limestone reefs were deposited on the coast of the primordial sea running along the Palatinate, which were able to develop into solid rock material over a long period of time. Remains of living creatures are also part of this special soil as a result of the lush maritime habitat in the primeval sea. The fossilized remains of marine creatures such as ammonites can still be found in the limestone of the Palatinate.

By taking great care throughout the entire winemaking process, from the grape to the bottle, we have succeeded in combining the characteristic nature of the soil and the Pinot Noir grape to create a special wine.
