Beerenauslese

0,375 L

Beerenauslese is a real rarity – it is only harvested when the weather allows the grapes to reach a stage of exceptional ripeness. The so-called noble rot affecting many of the grapes leads to a concentration of sugar in the grape, which gives Beerenauslese its unique flavour. The grape variety is Solaris. It is only grown in a few regions in Germany and is categorised as a sustainable grape variety or PiWi (the German abbreviation for: “pilzwiderstandsfähige Rebsorte”; meaning: grapes with a significant resistance to fungal diseases). It is also tolerant of colder climates. This Beerenauslese is full-bodied and rich with intensely sweet apple and honey flavours – a real after-dinner treat.
