Our company
With a passion for good wines, Carl Reh founded his business for grapes, must and wine back in 1920, based in Leiwen on the Moselle. The subsequent merger with the Hermann Kendermann Winery in Bingen made Reh Kendermann GmbH one of the largest wineries in Germany.
Today, our company headquarters are in Bingen. Senior management, sales staff, account managers, cellars, bottling facility and wine warehouse are all located on the Bingen site. As before, our winery remains in family ownership; now in its third generation. Carl and Andrea Reh are conscious of their responsibility to honour the values of their grandfather by continuing to produce and distribute high-quality wine.
Our main production areas in Germany are the Pfalz, Moselle and Rheinhessen regions. Here we create the world’s most popular German wines in our own vineyards, or using grapes supplied by more than 400 contracted growers, with whom we have enjoyed long-standing and fruitful partnerships. Our estates in Oprisor, Romania, extend to over 350 hectares of wine growing land, of which around 240 hectares are currently planted.
As the importer of international estate-bottled wine brands, we enable people to get to know good and inexpensive wines from around the world. At the same time, we make German wine known throughout the world, selling our wines successfully in 54 countries. This makes us the leader in German wine exporting.
Though our wine brands, our goal is to satisfy people’s expectations of good wine and to deliver consistent quality. Over 240 employees work to achieve that aim, every day, across the world.
